I am a two-time Emmy Award-winning composer, producer, and Juno Award-winning jazz pianist and educator. As a composer, I specialize in writing, arranging, and producing memorable, custom-made music for t.v., film & other media. I am available to teach private lessons or give consultations via Zoom out of my Maplewood, NJ production studio to ages 13 and up. Areas of potential study/discussion include jazz arranging/composition/performance; composing for media (film, t.v., children’s music - including working with programs like Logic Pro, sample libraries, plus using music notation including Dorico Pro and Sibelius); writing/producing music for songs; plus industry/general career advice and more - with flexible hours. In addition to being a multi-Emmy-winning composer, I also am an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema (Brooklyn College) where I teach Media Scoring; and at the Roc Nation school at Long Island University Brooklyn where I teach piano, music tech, studio recording, and related courses/private lessons. I am also the past recipient of the Hunter College President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (part-time).

Previously, I served as Chair of Jazz and Contemporary Studies at the Harlem School of the Arts.
